Yeah, Reservoir Dogs is very much a love it or "hate" it kind of film. I think it's because it's primarily a dialogue driven film without much traditional action. It relies more on build up and tension, whereas Pulp Fiction (which also has tremendous dialogue) obviously has much more action and several different plot lines to follow. It "moves" more than Reservoir Dogs.

I liked Dogs better, but neither of them are really my kind of flick~

Someone really should make David J Schow's "Bad Guy Hats" into a movie-that would be fantastic!

yeah, its almost all arguing and bickering and story telling with little action. I loved the twist and silly blabbing in pulp fiction. seemed like you actually had characters you could like even if they were bad guys. in this, I didnt really care that much for any of the characters. none were quirky in a fun way that would make you like them. they were all just mean and blah. at the most Harvey Kietels character was the closest at almost liking. In P.F. you just dig Jules and Vinnie even though they're bad guys. they have chemistry and play off each other. these guys...eh. some pitty for Orange and the cop, but thats it.

For a first movie, Reservoir Dogs is really strong.

I dont know. I dont see any twist, or deep plot or any characters you could relate to or any mystery or fun to it. In PF at least it turned a little and you came to know the characters more and enjoyed them. I think I could have wrote this one. it wasnt deep, didnt have a twisting plot or anything. just here it is.

First time I saw Res Dogs, I hated it. Wasn't in the right mood, and wasn't expecting it.

After watching it again, I loved it... and now own it. It's one of my favorites.

Although, I'm more partial to Pulp Fiction. When I saw it in college, it quickly became a favorite - and when it hit the dollar theaters, I think I saw it there about 8 or 9 times... and still remains a favorite.

So I'm torn. But at least I have Reservoir Dogs action figures... I'm still waiting for some good 6" Pulp Fiction ones.

    Arrow

I liked Resevoir Dogs, and I think Mr. Blondes death is probably one of the top 3 best bad guy death scenes of all time.
